Features

The AVMATRIX Mini SDI to HDMI Video Converter is a compact video converter that converts professional SD, HD, and 3G SDI signals to HDMI. This allows broadcast cameras, video mixers, recorders, and other SDI equipment to be easily connected to HDMI monitors, televisions, projectors, and capture solutions. The converter supports video signals up to 1080p60 , automatically detects the incoming video signal, and also features an SDI loop output to simultaneously pass the original SDI signal through to other equipment.

Operation

The Mini SDI to HDMI Converter converts a professional SDI video signal to an HDMI signal in real time without noticeable delay. Thanks to automatic format detection, no manual settings are required; the converter automatically recognizes the incoming SD, HD, or 3G SDI signal.

In addition to the HDMI output, the converter features an SDI loop output. This allows the same SDI signal to be simultaneously passed to, for example, a video mixer, recorder, or extra monitor, while an HDMI monitor is connected for monitoring. Embedded SDI audio is automatically carried over to the HDMI output.

Limits

Although the Mini SDI to HDMI Converter is very suitable for Full HD workflows, there are a few points to consider:

• Supports a maximum of 1080p60 ; UHD and 4K signals are not supported.

• Converts only from SDI to HDMI ; HDMI to SDI is not possible.

• No up/down or cross-conversion of video standards takes place; the output signal follows the incoming SDI format.

• No scaler or image processing present.

• No Ethernet, USB video, or streaming functionality.

• No support for HDR or LUT processing.
