Thanks to the combination of SDI, HDMI, UVC, and NDI|HX sources, this all-in-one switcher offers a complete solution for directing, streaming, recording, and PTZ camera control.

The built-in 17.3-inch Full HD IPS monitor displays multiview, preview, program, and system information, eliminating the need for an external monitor in many situations. With support for RTMP(S), SRT, RTSP, and NDI|HX streaming, extensive audio functionality, macros, and internal recording, the Shark S8X Plus is suitable for both mobile and stationary productions.

Operation

The Shark S8X Plus combines video mixing, streaming, recording, and audio mixing in one compact control unit. Up to eight cameras can be connected simultaneously via SDI and HDMI, after which you can switch between the different sources using Cut, Auto, or the integrated T-Bar.

In addition to physical video inputs, the AUX input also supports network streams, UVC cameras, video files, and NDI|HX sources. This allows external computers, media players, or IP video sources to be easily integrated into production.

Limits

• Video output is a maximum of 1080p60; 4K is supported exclusively on HDMI inputs.

• Support only for NDI|HX, no FULL NDI.

• Recordings are saved in H.264 up to a maximum of 1080p60.

• There is no internal SSD storage; storage media must be inserted separately.

• HDMI outputs do not support 4K program output.

• No built-in replay or slow-motion function.
