Features

The Kiloview RU01 is a 19" rackmount chassis (1RU) designed for use with Kiloview service cards such as RE-3, RN-3, encoders, or decoders. The chassis offers a compact and energy-efficient enclosure with an integrated power supply, active cooling, and an internal network switch. The RU01 forms the physical foundation for modular AV-over-IP workflows and NDI-based production environments.

Operation

The RU01 chassis provides the mechanical enclosure, power supply, and network infrastructure for installed Kiloview service cards. Each card is inserted into a hot-swap slot and receives power through the chassis. The chassis manages internal network switching to enable service cards to generate or decode IP-based video streams. Management and configuration of the installed modules are performed via a web interface or through central management software within the Kiloview ecosystem.

Application

The RU01 rackmount chassis is used in professional AV, broadcast and live production environments where:

• Multiple AV functions in one chassis need to be integrated

• Encoding, decoding and network transmission must be combined

• Compact, modular and scalable installations are required

• Central management and monitoring of multiple video cards is necessary

The chassis supports NDI High Bandwidth, IP video, and broadcast workflows in studios, events, OB vans, and installations where hardware conversion and network distribution are required.

Limits

• The chassis itself does not provide video functionality without service cards.

• The functionality of the entire system depends on which cards are installed.

• Assembly requires technical knowledge of rack installation, networking and AV workflows.

• Depending on the loaded cards and configuration, network requirements and cooling capacity are important.
