The AVMATRIX SHARK H4 Plus is a compact all-in-one video switcher for livestreams, webinars, presentations, and small multi-camera productions. Thanks to the integrated 10.1-inch Full HD IPS display, you have instant access to a clear multi-view, making an external monitor unnecessary in many situations.

Operation

The SHARK H4 Plus processes up to four HDMI video sources that can be switched in real time via the physical buttons, the integrated T-Bar, or the included control software.

The integrated 10.1-inch Full HD IPS screen displays a clear multiview with all video sources, preview, program output, audio meters, and system status. This makes the switcher easy to use on location without an additional monitor.

For livestreams, the switcher supports direct broadcasting via Ethernet with support for RTMP , RTMPS, and SRT . Simultaneously, the program output can be recorded to a USB stick or SD card in up to 1080p with a bitrate of up to 32 Mbps.

Via the USB-C connection, the SHARK H4 Plus functions as a standard UVC webcam, allowing it to be used immediately with software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams without additional drivers. Additionally, configurations can be easily saved, imported, or exported.

Limits

Although the SHARK H4 Plus offers many professional features, there are a few points to consider:

• The switcher features only HDMI inputs ; SDI cameras can only be connected with an external converter.

• Video processing is limited to 1080p60 ; UHD or 4K productions are not supported.

• Recordings are made exclusively from the program output; ISO recording of individual camera channels is not possible.

• The SHARK H4 Plus does not support NDI workflows.

• Streaming is limited to the supported RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT protocols.

• The integrated display is intended for monitoring and operation, and not for color-critical image evaluation.
