Features

The AVMATRIX SHARK S6 Plus is a portable all-in-one video switcher for professional livestreams, events, webinars, and multi-camera productions. Thanks to the integrated 17.3-inch Full HD IPS screen, you no longer need an external multiview monitor and can set up a complete control room virtually anywhere.

The switcher features four 3G-SDI inputs and two HDMI 2.0 inputs for connecting cameras, laptops, and other video sources. Additionally, the SHARK S6 Plus offers extensive capabilities for live streaming, recording, PTZ camera control, and professional video editing with chroma key, PiP, overlays, and macros.

Operation

The SHARK S6 Plus processes up to six video sources that can be switched in real time via the physical buttons and T-Bar on the control panel.

The built-in 17.3-inch screen displays a clear multiview of all sources, preview, program output, audio meters, and the status of streaming and recording. As a result, a separate monitor is no longer necessary in many situations.

For livestreams, the switcher supports direct broadcasting via Ethernet with support for RTMP(S), RTSP, and SRT. Simultaneously, the program can be recorded on an SD card or USB storage medium.

Via the USB-C connection, the SHARK S6 Plus functions as a UVC webcam, allowing it to be used directly with software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype. Additionally, the switcher supports PTZ cameras via VISCA, VISCA over IP, ONVIF, and Pelco P/D.

Limits

Although the SHARK S6 Plus offers many professional features, there are a few points to consider:

• The SDI inputs support a maximum of 1080p60 .

• The HDMI inputs accept 4K signals, but the production outputs operate in HD.

• Recordings are saved as program output; ISO recording from individual cameras is not supported.

• There is no support for NDI workflows.

• Streaming takes place exclusively via the supported network protocols; direct streaming via mobile networks is not supported without an external router.
