Operation

The MKE 200 connects directly to the 3.5 mm microphone input of a DSLR, mirrorless camera, camcorder, or compatible smartphone. The microphone is powered via plug-in, eliminating the need for batteries.

Thanks to the supercardioid pickup pattern, sound is clearly recorded at the front, while distracting ambient noise is suppressed as much as possible. The built-in shock mount absorbs vibrations and contact noises that occur during handheld filming, while the integrated wind shield, together with the included furry windshield, reduces wind noise during outdoor shots.

The supercardioid condenser capsule primarily captures sound in front of the camera and reduces distracting ambient noise. As a result, voices remain more intelligible, even in noisy environments.

The microphone features an integrated wind shield for daily use. For recording in windy conditions, a furry windshield is also included to further reduce wind noise.

Internal shock mount

An integrated suspension prevents camera vibrations or hand movements from being transmitted to the microphone. This effectively limits handling noise and contact sounds.

Thanks to the included lockable TRS and TRRS coiled cables, the MKE 200 can be used immediately with DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and smartphones with a compatible audio input or adapter.

Compact and battery-free

Weighing only 48 grams and featuring a compact housing, the microphone remains virtually inconspicuous on camera. Because it operates via plug-in power, no batteries or chargers are required.

Limits
