How it works

The M4500 is a 1U data-center-class switch that combines the flexibility of a matrix switcher with the scalability of Ethernet. In a redundant spine-and-leaf architecture (with or without MLAG) it connects hundreds of AV-over-IP endpoints at line rate. Two power supplies and six fan modules are preinstalled and hot-swappable. Management is via command line (CLI), SNMP and NMS300.

Applications

100G core and aggregation for large AV-over-IP systems (up to 320 TX and 320 RX at 10G), broadcast, data centers and campus networks.

Limitations

CLI management only (no web interface). Loud (64 dB) and 508 mm deep: intended for a server room.
