How it works

The M4300 is a stackable, fully managed Layer 3 switch that operates as one virtual chassis: multiple switches (including mixed 1G and 10G models) are managed as a single device, with non-stop forwarding and distributed link aggregation. NETGEAR IGMP Plus makes it ready for AV over IP out of the box (L2 multicast, SDVoE-ready). Management via web UI, CLI, SNMP or NETGEAR NMS300.

Applications

Core and aggregation switch for IT networks and AV over IP, server rooms, spine-and-leaf topologies and 10G AV systems.

Limitations

Older series; for new AV projects the M4250/M4350 is usually the better choice.
