Magewell USB Capture SDI 4K Pro - USB-C 20 Gbps Capture Device / 12G-SDI + Loop / 4K60

Key features

• 12G-SDI input and loop-through up to 4096×2160p60
• USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps) for full 4K60 bandwidth
• Up to 8 channels of embedded SDI audio
• 3.5 mm audio in and out
• Driver-free, USB powered

How it works

The device works as a standard UVC/UAC webcam and microphone: plug it into a USB port and it is recognised without drivers by Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Scaling, deinterlacing and colour conversion are done in the device itself, so you simply choose the format you want in your software and the computer's processor is offloaded.

Applications

Streaming and recording with OBS, vMix or Wirecast, using cameras in Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, lecture capture, recording gameplay and bringing broadcast or surveillance video into a laptop.

Limitations

Uncompressed 4K60 requires a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port; on slower ports it works at lower resolution or frame rate.
