How it works

The card fits in a free PCIe slot and registers in the operating system as a standard capture device. The on-board FPGA handles deinterlacing, scaling, colour space and frame rate conversion in hardware, leaving the computer's processor free for encoding, streaming or recording. Each channel can deliver several streams at once, for example in different resolutions for recording and streaming. Multiple cards can be used in one system.

Applications

Digitising analogue archives, security and surveillance cameras, industrial and medical equipment with composite output.

Limitations

Standard-definition composite only; no HD inputs.
