How it works

One source is active at a time; the card selects the connected input automatically or you set it manually. The card fits in a free PCIe slot and registers in the operating system as a standard capture device. The on-board FPGA handles deinterlacing, scaling, colour space and frame rate conversion in hardware, leaving the computer's processor free for encoding, streaming or recording. Each channel can deliver several streams at once, for example in different resolutions for recording and streaming. Multiple cards can be used in one system.

Applications

Ideal where old and new equipment is mixed: lecture halls, meeting rooms, medical equipment, archive digitisation and production systems.

Limitations

Single channel: only one input can be captured at a time. No 4K and no loop-through output.
