Kiloview Cradle Series RF02 — Unified 2RU Media Center

The Kiloview RF02 is ahigh-performance rackmount media platform with a 2RU chassis designed as a consolidated AV-over-IP media center.The chassis accommodates up to 18hot -swappable service cards for functionalities such as encoding, decoding, NDI conversion, media gateway, bonding, and other media services. The platform combines multiple AV processing functions into a single server-like solution, eliminating the need for separate devices in many workflows.

Operation

The RF02 system utilizes an embedded ARM64 controller running Kiloview's KiloLink Server Pro software for centralized management , firmware updates, device monitoring, and configuration via a web/API interface. The platform includes an internal switch module that serves as an integrated network hub for the associated service cards and external interfaces. The RF02 chassis supports multiple service card types operating independently, enabling parallel encoding, decoding, streaming, and media transformation.

Application

The RF02 is designed for professional AV and broadcast installations where media processing, distribution, and conversion must be centrally managed . Typical applications include:

Limits

• The RF02 system is a host platform with no built-in media functionality ; its actual operation depends on the installed service cards.

• For 4K encoding, decoding or specific workflow scenarios, relevant service cards are required.

• The platform requires appropriate rack mounting, power, and cooling for stable operation.
