How it works

The module is a hot-swappable card for the Magewell Modator 2U chassis, which provides power, networking and central management. It picks up one to four streams from the network and shows them as a single view, picture-in-picture or quad view. It supports NDI (High Bandwidth, HX2 and HX3) and H.264/H.265 streams via SRT, RIST, RTMP, RTSP, HLS, HTTP, MPEG-TS and Zixi, including HDR PQ/HLG. Configuration is done via the chassis touchscreen, the web interface, Magewell Control Hub or Zixi ZEN Master; the output can be previewed and PTZ cameras can be controlled.

Applications

Rack-based decoding and multiview of IP sources in control rooms, broadcast, AV installations and events, with multiple converters centrally housed in one chassis.

Limitations

Only works in a Magewell Modator 2U chassis (sold separately). No SDI output (see the IP to AIO 4K Module). Also available as a standalone version: Pro Convert IP to HDMI 4K.
