How it works

The Eco card mounts directly in an M.2 2280 slot (M-key, PCIe) on the motherboard. The input connectors sit on the card itself and are brought out with the included cable or adapter. Scaling, deinterlacing and colour conversion are done in hardware on the card, offloading the processor. Under Windows and Linux the card appears as a standard capture device. This version ships without a heat sink and is intended for systems with their own cooling solution, for example cooling via the enclosure.

Applications

Compact and embedded systems: mini PCs, edge computers, medical equipment, kiosks, encoders and other OEM applications with no room for a PCIe card.

Limitations

The M.2 slot must support PCIe x4. No loop-through. HDCP-protected sources cannot be captured.
