Features

The AVMATRIX SC1221 is a compact HDMI to dual 3G-SDI video converter that allows HDMI sources to be easily integrated into professional SDI workflows. The converter converts an HDMI signal into two simultaneous 3G-SDI outputs and supports video standards up to 1080p60 . Thanks to the dual SDI output, the same signal can be passed through simultaneously to, for example, a video mixer, recorder, and monitor.

Operation

The SC1221 receives an HDMI signal and converts it in real time into two identical SDI outputs. This allows a single HDMI source to be easily connected to professional SDI equipment such as video mixers, recorders, matrix switches, or broadcast monitors.

The converter automatically detects the incoming HDMI resolution and converts it to a compatible SDI signal without noticeable delay. Because both SDI outputs are active simultaneously, the same video signal can easily be distributed to multiple devices without additional distribution amplifiers. The converter is powered via the Micro-USB connection and can therefore also be easily used with a USB power supply or power bank.

Limits

Although the SC1221 is a reliable HDMI to SDI converter, there are a few points to consider:

• Converts only from HDMI to SDI ; SDI to HDMI is not supported.

• Maximum resolution is 1080p60 ; UHD, 4K, and 12G-SDI signals are not supported.

• There is no HDMI loop output available.

• The converter does not have a scaler or frame rate converter; the output signal follows the incoming HDMI format.

• No support for HDR, LUTs, or image processing.

• No network, streaming, or USB video functionality is available.
