Features

The AVMATRIX SHARK S4 Plus is a compact all-in-one video switcher for professional livestreams, webinars, presentations, and multi-camera productions. Thanks to the integrated 10.1-inch Full HD IPS display, you have immediate access to a clear multi-view, often eliminating the need for an external monitor.

The switcher features two 3G-SDI inputs and two HDMI inputs that automatically detect the video signal. Additionally, the SHARK S4 Plus offers extensive capabilities for livestreaming, recording, audio mixing, and professional video effects such as chroma key, luma key, picture-in-picture, and logo overlays.

Operation

The SHARK S4 Plus processes up to four video sources that can be switched in real time via the physical buttons, the T-Bar, or the included control software.

The integrated 10.1-inch Full HD IPS screen displays a clear multiview with preview, program output, audio meters, clock, and system settings. This makes the switcher easy to use on the go, without a separate multiview monitor.

For livestreams, the switcher supports direct broadcasting via Ethernet with support for RTMP , RTMPS, and SRT . Simultaneously, the program output can be recorded to a USB stick, SSD, or SD card in MP4 format.

Via the USB-C connection, the SHARK S4 Plus functions as a standard UVC webcam, allowing it to be used immediately with software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and VLC without additional drivers. Settings, media, and configurations can also be easily managed via the software.

Limits

Although the SHARK S4 Plus offers many professional features, there are a few points to consider:

• The switcher processes video footage up to a maximum of 1080p60 ; UHD or 4K productions are not supported.

• There are a maximum of four simultaneous video sources available.

• Recordings are made exclusively from the program output; ISO recording of individual cameras is not possible.

• The switcher does not support NDI workflows.

• Streaming is limited to the supported RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT protocols.

• The integrated display is intended for monitoring and operation and not as a color-critical reference monitor.
