Features

The Lilliput Q23-8K is a professional 23.8-inch 4K UHD broadcast monitor designed for use in studios, control rooms, and on location. Thanks to support for 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, and optional fiber optic connections, the monitor is suitable for modern UHD and 8K workflows. Incoming video signals up to 8K60 are automatically scaled to the screen's native 4K UHD resolution for accurate image display.

The monitor features extensive monitoring functions, HDR support, and the ability to load custom 3D LUTs. This makes it suitable for camera control, live productions, color grading, and post-production.

Operation

The Q23-8K receives video signals via 12G-SDI, HDMI, or an optional SFP+ fiber optic connection. Regardless of the source, higher resolutions are automatically scaled to the display's native 4K UHD resolution, ensuring images are displayed correctly and without distortion.

Various professional image analysis functions are available via the on-screen menu, including HDR display, LUT support, and various tools for focusing, exposure, and color control. The monitor can be used both in a fixed studio setup and mobile on location thanks to the included V-Mount battery plate.

4K UHD monitoring

The 23.8-inch LCD panel has a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and delivers sharp image display for HD, UHD, and scaled 8K signals.

Support for 12G-SDI and HDMI

The monitor features four 12G-SDI inputs and four 12G-SDI loop outputs, in addition to an HDMI 2.0 input and output. This allows it to be easily integrated into professional broadcast environments.

Support for 8K signals

Although the screen itself has a 4K UHD resolution, it accepts video signals up to 8K60. These are automatically scaled to the screen resolution, so that higher resolutions can be controlled without a native 8K display.

HDR and 3D LUT support

For an accurate assessment of HDR content, the monitor supports various HDR standards, including ST2084 and HLG.

Additionally, custom 3D LUT files (.cube) can be loaded via the USB port, allowing images to be checked with the desired color transformation or camera simulation.

Four freely configurable shortcut keys on the front of the monitor provide direct access to frequently used monitoring functions without opening the main menu.

External control

Multiple monitors can be connected via RS-422 and controlled centrally. This makes the monitor suitable for larger studio installations and professional control rooms.

Color calibration

The monitor supports professional color calibration with ColourSpace CMS (PRO/LTE version, optional). This allows the color reproduction to be accurately matched to other monitors within a production environment.

Fiber optic expansion

An integrated SFP+ slot makes it possible to expand the monitor with an optional fiber optic module. This allows the monitor to be easily integrated into fiber-based broadcast infrastructures.

Limits

• Native screen resolution is 3840 × 2160; 8K signals are automatically scaled to 4K.

• An optional SFP+ module is required for fiber optic connections.

• ColourSpace CMS software for hardware calibration is not included.

• The LCD panel has a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² and is therefore less suitable for use in bright sunlight.

• The monitor does not have built-in recording or video processing functions.

• V-Mount battery is not included.
