The Blackmagic Design UpDownCross 100G from Blackmagic Design is a professional SMPTE ST-2110 standard converter for high-bandwidth 100G broadcast infrastructures. The system can simultaneously convert up to eight IP video streams between SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards.

The converter supports redundant 100GbE network connections via SMPTE ST 2022-7 and is designed for live productions, broadcast environments, and IP-based studio workflows.

Operation

The UpDownCross 100G receives SMPTE ST-2110 IP video streams via redundant 100GbE network connections and converts them to another video standard in real time.

The system supports conversions between SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats, allowing various production formats to be seamlessly combined within a single broadcast environment.

Via SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundancy, identical video streams are transmitted over dual network connections to ensure maximum reliability during live broadcasts.

The integrated LCD monitor displays real-time video, audio, and system information. Additionally, the built-in speaker and headphone output provide direct audio monitoring.
