The Atomos Ninja RAW is a compact professional 5.2-inch HDMI monitor/recorder for use on camera, on set, and in content productions. The model was developed as a wired complement to the Atomos Ninja TX and Ninja TX GO , but also functions as a standalone on-camera monitor and recorder for recording, monitoring, and cloud-based workflows.

The Ninja RAW is suitable for professional camera setups requiring high-quality monitoring, RAW recording, and flexible codec support.
Operation
The Atomos Ninja RAW receives a video signal via HDMI 2.0 and can directly display, loop through, and record it. The HDMI input supports resolutions up to 8K30 , DCI 4K60 , UHD 4K60 , and 1080p120 , depending on the connected camera and the signal format.
The HDMI loop output makes it possible to forward the incoming signal to, for example:

a wireless video transmitter
a livestream encoder
an extra recorder
For recording, the monitor features a CFexpress Type B slot and USB-C recording outputs . This allows recording to high-speed CFexpress media or external USB-C storage. The recorder supports multiple professional recording formats, including:
