Kiloview RN-40 4K HDMI NDI Encoding/Decoding Card
Features
The Kiloview RN-40 is a bidirectional 4K HDMI to NDI High Bandwidth encoding/decoding card designed for installation in compatible Kiloview rackmount chassis (such as the RU01 or RU03). The card supports 4Kp60 HDMI input and output and converts this signal to and from ultra-low-latency NDI High Bandwidth streams , including HDMI loop-through for monitoring.
Operation
In encoding mode, the RN-40 can convert incoming HDMI video (up to 4Kp60) to NDI High-Bandwidth streams for distribution over an IP network. In decoding mode, the card can decode incoming NDI High-Bandwidth streams to HDMI output, with internal loop-through enabling real-time monitoring and routing without additional hardware.
Management and configuration are carried out via the rack chassis management system and optionally via a web interface or central management software.
Application
The RN-40 is designed for professional AV, broadcast, and live production environments requiring high-bandwidth 4K NDI workflows . Typical applications include:
Integration of HDMI video into IP workflows via NDI High Bandwidth
4K video distribution and remote monitoring within HD/4K productions
Live productions in studios, events or OB vans
IP-based multi-camera workflows requiring bidirectional conversion
Limits
The RN-40 only works within compatible Kiloview rackmount chassis ; it does not function as a standalone module.
Support is limited to 4Kp60 and lower resolutions ; higher frame rates/resolutions outside this standard are not supported.
Actual operation depends on chassis management software and network configuration.
Configuration and monitoring require network access and a suitable management interface (web UI or KiloLink Server).
