Kiloview RE-3 Dual Channel 4K HDMI SDI Video Encoder

Features

The Kiloview RE-3 is an encoder (input) service card for use in a compatible Kiloview rackmount chassis.
The card converts incoming video signals to IP streams via supported network protocols.

The RE-3 features HDMI and 3G-SDI video inputs and supports encoding to protocols such as NDI®, SRT, RTMP(S), RTSP, and HLS depending on configuration and licensing.

The card will only function within a compatible Kiloview rack platform and is not a standalone device.

Operation

The RE-3 receives video via HDMI or 3G-SDI and encodes this signal into IP-based video streams.
The generated stream is forwarded via the internal network of the rack platform to the external network interfaces of the chassis.

Configuration and management are carried out via the central management software of the Kiloview rack system (for example KiloLink Server).

The card does not have a local video output; it is only an input/encoder module.

Application

The RE-3 is used in professional AV-over-IP and broadcast environments where multiple video sources need to be centrally encoded and distributed via network protocols.

Typical applications:

• SDI or HDMI camera integration into NDI® networks

• Central encoding of multiple video sources

• Convert baseband video to SRT or RTMP

• IP distribution within studio or data center environments

The card is suitable for modular rack installations where scalability and central management are required.

Limits

• No standalone operation — requires compatible Kiloview rack chassis

• No video decoding functionality

• No internal recording

• No direct HDMI or SDI output

• Streaming capacity depends on network configuration and set bitrate
