The Bolin EXU420N FreeD Outdoor NDI PTZ Camera is a professional outdoor PTZ camera with a 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX715 image sensor and a 20× optical zoom lens supporting 4K60 video. The camera delivers broadcast-quality images with multiple simultaneous output options: NDI High Bandwidth (NDI 6-ready) , NDI HX3 , dual 12G-SDI , HDMI 2.0 , optical SDI via SFP, and IP streaming . The housing is IP67-rated with anti-corrosion coating, built-in heater, defroster, and concealed wiper for continuous outdoor use. Support for the FreeD protocol , balanced audio formats, and comprehensive control interfaces are integrated.

Operation

The combination of the Sony 4K sensor, advanced image processing and Super WDR delivers high levels of detail and colour consistency , even in varying lighting conditions. The PTZ mechanism supports precise pan, tilt and zoom movements with programmable presets, trace memory and automatic drift correction. The NDI functionality (High Bandwidth and NDI HX3), including NDI Embedded Bridge , enables low-latency IP streams and smoothly integrates the camera into AV-over-IP productions. Via the simultaneous video outputs, SDI, HDMI and IP can be used independently in multiple workflows.

Application

The camera is designed for professional outdoor productions such as live sporting events, outdoor concerts, news and weather reporting, and remote broadcasting where 4K60 image quality , network integration, and durability are required. Thanks to support for NDI, SDI, and HDMI, the camera can be used in broadcast, hybrid, and IP-based workflows, and, thanks to the FreeD protocol, also in AR/VR productions and virtual stages.

Limits

The camera only supports 4K and Full HD output; resolutions higher than 4K60 are not available. There is no internal storage; external recording or network equipment is required for video storage. Suitable mounting and power solutions are required for installation, including PoE++ or external power, depending on the location and network infrastructure.
