Magewell Pro Capture Dual HDMI - PCIe Capture Card / 2× HDMI / 2K

Key features

• Two independent HDMI inputs with embedded audio
• Up to 2048×2160 per channel
• 10-bit processing, deinterlacing, OSD and timestamp
• Supports timecode and 3D HDMI
• PCIe Gen2 x4

How it works

The card fits in a free PCIe slot and registers in the operating system as a standard capture device. The on-board FPGA handles deinterlacing, scaling, colour space and frame rate conversion in hardware, leaving the computer's processor free for encoding, streaming or recording. Each channel can deliver several streams at once, for example in different resolutions for recording and streaming. Multiple cards can be used in one system.

Applications

Streaming and recording workstations, production systems for events and houses of worship, broadcast ingest, medical and industrial imaging, and servers that must run 24/7.

Limitations

No loop-through and no 4K. HDCP-protected sources cannot be captured.
