Description
Key features
- Bi-directional: 12G-SDI to NDI/NDI|HX2/HX3 or back to 12G-SDI
- Up to UHD 4Kp60, 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:2, latency below 80 ms
- H.265/H.264 and SpeedHQ; SRT encoding
- Colour LCD with scroll wheel, front and rear tally
- Recording to SD/TF card up to 2 TB (.mov)
- PoE (802.3at) or 12 V DC; 2 network ports; intercom and PTZ control
How it works
In encoder mode the N50 converts a 4K 12G-SDI signal to NDI with a 12G-SDI loop for monitoring; in decoder mode an NDI stream becomes 12G-SDI again. The large LCD shows status and doubles as a tally. Local card recording prevents dropped frames during network issues. Managed via web or KiloLink Server.
Applications
Broadcast and live production in 4K, medical applications and large events where SDI equipment and NDI networks meet.
Limitations
USB camera input and USB-C capture require a separate licence. SRT for encoding only.
