Features

The Canon XA70 is a compact 4K UHD camcorder with a 1.0″ CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor. The camera supports internal recording in XF-AVC and MP4 , features Dual Pixel CMOS AF , a 15x optical zoom lens , 5-axis image stabilization and a mechanical ND filter system .

The camera offers HDMI output and supports UVC video streaming via USB-C when connected to a computer. Audio output via USB is not supported.

Operation

The XA70 records UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 29.97p and uses oversampling for high-quality Full HD playback from its 1.0″ sensor.

The integrated 15x optical zoom lens (25.5-382.5mm eq.) offers a wide range of shooting options for reportage and documentary applications. The combination of optical and digital stabilization supports handheld use.

The Dual Pixel CMOS AF system ensures fast and accurate focusing with face detection and tracking. The 3.5" touchscreen allows direct selection of the autofocus point.

• MP4 4K up to 150 Mbps

• Full HD up to 59.94p

Recording is via dual SD card slots (UHS-I) with relay or simultaneous backup recording.
