Features

The Canon XA65 is a compact 4K UHD camcorder with a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor. The camera supports internal recording in XF-AVC and MP4 , features a 20x optical zoom lens , 5-axis image stabilization and offers both 3G-SDI and HDMI output .

Via USB-C UVC video streaming, the camera can be used directly as a webcam in combination with a computer. Audio output via USB is not supported.

The XA65 is suitable for professional applications requiring 4K image quality, SDI output and flexible recording formats.

Operation

The camera records UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) up to 29.97p and uses oversampling to generate high-quality Full HD images from the 4K sensor.

The integrated 20x optical zoom lens (29.3-627mm eq.) offers wide-angle to telephoto range. The combination of optical and digital stabilization supports handheld use.

The Hybrid AF system with face detection and tracking ensures fast and accurate focusing. The autofocus point can be selected directly via the 3.5" touchscreen.

Recording formats:

• XF-AVC 4K up to 160 Mbps

• MP4 4K up to 150 Mbps

• Full HD up to 59.94p

Recording is via dual SD card slots (UHS-I) with relay or simultaneous backup recording.
