The Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini 8TB is a compact professional network storage solution for film, television, and post-production workflows. The system is designed for sharing large media files between multiple users and is suitable for editing, color correction, audio, and VFX.

The storage capacity is 8TB , consisting of 4 × 2TB NVMe M.2 SSDs configured internally as RAID 0 for high throughput. This makes the system suitable for large video files, including 12K Blackmagic RAW workflows.

Operation

The Cloud Store Mini functions as central shared storage within a network. Fast workstations can connect directly via the 10GbE port , while the 1GbE port can be used for an existing network or internet connection. Together, these ports function as a built-in 2-port network switch .

For systems without an RJ45 port, there is a USB-C connection with a built-in USB-C to Ethernet adapter . This allows a computer to access the storage directly without a separate network adapter.

The four internal NVMe SSDs operate in parallel in RAID 0 , allowing the storage to achieve high speeds and enabling multiple users to work with the same media files simultaneously. This is particularly relevant for shared video projects, multicamera editing, and heavy, high-resolution files.

The HDMI output displays real-time status information on a monitor or TV, including:
