Features

The FieldCast 2Core Main Cable MM HD, 100 m is a two-core, multimode fiber-optic cable designed for professional AV, broadcast, and networking applications. Constructed with OM3 multimode fibers , the cable features a heavier-gauge (HD) construction with a larger outer sheath diameter and is supplied on a cable reel for controlled unwinding and storage. The cable is marked in light blue to identify it as multimode.

Operation

The cable carries optical signals over short to medium distances with low attenuation and broad bandwidth capacity, making it suitable for SDI-over-fiber transmission, IP video, and other multimode applications. The HD jacket provides additional mechanical protection and stability during use in both mobile and fixed installations. The fibers are protected to reduce wear, kinking, and mechanical stress during installation and disassembly.

Application
