Operation
The URSA Cine 12K LF captures images in Blackmagic RAW, preserving sensor information, metadata, LUTs, and lens data for maximum flexibility in post-production. Thanks to the full-frame open-gate sensor, images can be captured in various aspect ratios without loss of field of view.
The camera supports both standard cinema formats and anamorphic workflows with multiple de-squeeze options. Recording in 4K, 8K, or 12K without a crop factor is possible via internal sensor scaling.
The built-in ND filters enable quick adjustments to exposure, while the integrated OLPF (Optical Low Pass Filter) reduces moiré and aliasing on high resolutions and LED screens.
The camera can upload proxy files to Blackmagic Cloud via 10G Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile data. This allows editors in DaVinci Resolve to start editing and color correction almost immediately.
