The Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is a professional digital film camera for high-end film production, live production, and broadcast workflows. The camera combines a large 12K full-frame sensor with Blackmagic RAW recording, 100G Ethernet, and support for SMPTE-2110 live video.

Operation

The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G captures images in Blackmagic RAW, preserving sensor information, metadata, lens information, white balance, and LUTs for post-production. The camera can record in various resolutions, including 4K, 8K, 9K Super 35, and 12K, without unnecessary loss of field of view.

Thanks to the full-frame open-gate sensor, the camera is suitable for multiple aspect ratios, anamorphic workflows, and reframing in post-production. The built-in ND filters make it possible to quickly adjust the exposure without using external filters.

For live production, the camera supports SMPTE-2110 via 100G Ethernet. This allows the camera to be integrated into modern IP-based broadcast environments. Additionally, the camera supports RTMP and SRT streaming, so images can be sent directly to clients, platforms, or a Blackmagic ATEM Streaming Bridge.

Proxy files can be uploaded quickly via Blackmagic Cloud, allowing editors in DaVinci Resolve to work with material almost immediately.

• 100G Ethernet and SMPTE-2110 require specialized network infrastructure.

• No internal image stabilization, only metadata for stabilization

• Relatively heavy and aimed at professional productions, not at compact run-and-gun setups
