The AVMATRIX SHARK H4M is a compact all-in-one solution that combines a professional HDMI video switcher and digital audio mixer in a single device. This makes the H4M ideal for livestreams, podcasts, webinars, events, and content creation where both video and audio are managed centrally.

With four HDMI inputs , an extensive audio mixer with six microphone/line inputs , two stereo line inputs, built-in DSP effects, Bluetooth audio, and USB audio recording, the SHARK H4M offers everything needed for a complete production. Additionally, the switcher supports livestreaming, recording to SD card or USB storage, and professional video features such as chroma key, picture-in-picture, and logo overlays.

Operation

The SHARK H4M processes up to four HDMI video sources that can be switched in real time via the buttons on the front panel or the integrated T-Bar.

In addition to video mixing, the switcher features an extensive digital audio mixer. The six microphone/line inputs are equipped with high-quality microphone preamplifiers with adjustable gain, a 2-band equalizer, a low-cut filter, volume control, and 48V phantom power. Furthermore, stereo line sources, Bluetooth audio, and embedded HDMI audio can be easily mixed into a single final mix. Thanks to the 99 built-in DSP effects, reverb or other audio processing is also immediately available.

For livestreams, the SHARK H4M supports direct broadcasting via Ethernet with RTMP and SRT . Simultaneously, the program output can be recorded onto an SD card or USB storage medium in up to Full HD.

Via the USB-C connection, the switcher functions as a standard UVC video source, allowing it to be used directly with software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams without additional drivers. Images, logos, and configurations can also be easily imported or exported via USB.

Limits

Although the SHARK H4M offers a very complete solution, there are a few points to consider:

• The switcher features exclusively HDMI video inputs ; SDI cameras can only be connected via an external converter.

• Video processing is limited to 1080p60 ; UHD and 4K productions are not supported.

• Recordings are made exclusively from the program output; ISO recording of individual video sources is not possible.

• NDI support is not available.

• Streaming is supported via RTMP and SRT ; RTSP is not supported.

• PTZ camera control is not available.

• Bluetooth is intended exclusively for audio playback and not for wireless video transmission.
