AVMATRIX SE2017 3G-SDI/HDMI Streaming Encoder/Recorder
Features
The AVMATRIX SE2017 is a versatile encoder, recorder, and USB capture device in one compact housing. The device processes both HDMI and 3G-SDI video signals and can simultaneously stream, record, and make them available as a USB webcam. This makes the SE2017 suitable for livestreams, webinars, events, education, and professional AV installations.
In addition to support for streaming protocols such as RTMP(S) , SRT , RTSP , and HTTP-FLV, the encoder features local recording to an SD card or USB storage, HDMI and SDI loop outputs, and support for PoE , requiring only a single network cable for both power and data traffic.
Key features
Encoder, recorder, and USB capture in one device
1× HDMI and 1× 3G-SDI input
HDMI and SDI loop outputs
Streaming via RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, RTSP and HTTP-FLV
Recording to SD card or USB storage
USB-C UVC output up to 1080p60
H.264 video compression
Analog 3.5mm line audio input
Support for PoE and 12V DC power supply
Configuration via web interface
Up to 32 Mbps video bitrate
Operation
The SE2017 receives an HDMI or 3G-SDI video signal and compresses it in real-time into an IP stream. This can be transmitted directly over the network to streaming platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, Wowza, or a private media server.
At the same time, the same program can be recorded onto an SD card or USB storage medium in MP4 or TS format. Furthermore, via the USB-C connection, the encoder functions as a standard UVC capture device, allowing it to be used without drivers with software such as OBS Studio, vMix, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Thanks to the HDMI and SDI loop outputs, the original video signal remains available for monitoring or connection to a video mixer or recorder. Configuration is handled entirely via a clear web interface, and firmware updates can be performed remotely.
Application
The AVMATRIX SE2017 is suitable for:
Livestreams
Webinars
Conferences
Church services
Education
Sports registrations
IPTV distribution
AV installations
Video production
USB capture for PCs and laptops
Thanks to the combination of streaming, recording, and USB capture, the SE2017 is a complete solution for both mobile and fixed streaming installations.
Limits
Although the SE2017 is very versatile, there are a few points to consider:
Only one video source can be used at a time ; HDMI and SDI cannot be processed simultaneously.
Maximum resolution is 1080p60 ; UHD and 4K video are not supported.
The encoder supports encoding only; decoding of IP streams is not possible.
There is no built-in video switcher or scaler present.
The USB-C port is intended exclusively as a UVC capture output and not for local storage.
There is no built-in Wi-Fi; network connection is exclusively via Gigabit Ethernet.
