AVMATRIX SE1217 H.265/ H.264 HDMI Streaming Encoder
Features
The AVMATRIX SE1217 is a compact HDMI streaming encoder that allows an HDMI video signal to be sent directly to streaming platforms or media servers without the intervention of a computer. The encoder supports both H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) compression and is suitable for livestreaming up to 1080p60 . Thanks to support for SRT , RTMP , RTMPS , RTP , RTSP , HTTP , and UDP , among others, the SE1217 is easy to integrate into various streaming and broadcast workflows.
In addition to the HDMI input, the encoder features an HDMI loop output for local monitoring and an analog audio input for adding external sound to the livestream. Settings can be easily adjusted, overlays added, and firmware updates performed via the web interface.
Key features
HDMI streaming encoder with H.264 and H.265 compression
Supports livestreaming up to 1080p60
HDMI input with HDMI loop output
3.5 mm analog audio input
Dual-stream encoding (main stream and sub stream)
Support for RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, RTSP, RTP, HTTP and UDP
Unicast and multicast support
Streaming without a computer
Text and logo overlay
Web interface for configuration and management
Firmware updates via network
Operation
The SE1217 receives an HDMI video signal and compresses it in real-time into an H.264 or H.265 video stream. The stream is then transmitted via the Gigabit Ethernet connection to a streaming server or online platform.
The encoder supports a main stream and a substream simultaneously, allowing, for example, a high-quality livestream and a lower resolution for monitoring or mobile applications to be available at the same time.
An external audio source can be added to the video stream via the analog audio input. Additionally, text, logos, or other graphic overlays can be inserted. Thanks to the HDMI loop output, the original video signal remains available for local monitoring or connection to other equipment. All settings are managed via a built-in web interface.
Application
The AVMATRIX SE1217 is suitable for:
Livestreams
Webinars
Church services
Conferences
Education
Company presentations
IPTV distribution
SRT workflows
Video surveillance
Digital signage
Broadcast and AV installations
Due to its compact size and standalone operation, the encoder is ideal for permanent installations as well as mobile streaming applications.
Limits
Although the SE1217 is a versatile encoder, there are a few points to consider:
Supports HDMI video only; SDI sources require an external converter.
Maximum input and stream resolution is 1080p60 ; UHD and 4K signals are not supported.
The device is exclusively an encoder and does not have decoder functionality.
There is no local recording function available.
The encoder does not have built-in Wi-Fi; network connection is established exclusively via Ethernet.
There are no extensive video editing functions such as scaling or image correction available.
