Second Chance Kiloview E3 HDMI/SDI Dual Channel Video Encoder

The Kiloview E3 HDMI/SDI Dual Channel Video Encoderis a professional video encoder in a compact housing, designed for IP-based workflows that require encoding and distributing multiple video sources over networks or live streams. The device supportsHDMI input up to 4Kp30,3G-SDI input up to 1080p60, andUSB input, with encoding in bothH.264 (AVC)andH.265 (HEVC)formats. The E3 can encode a single input independently or combine both video sources in Picture-in-Picture (PIP) or Picture-by-Picture (PBP) configurations.

Operation

The encoder converts incoming video sources to low-latency compressed IP streams, supporting multiple protocols such as NDI HX2/HX3 , SRT , RTMP/RTMPS , RTSP , HLS , TS over UDP/RTP , and Onvif . Its HEVC encoding allows for more efficient bandwidth usage compared to H.264 while maintaining comparable picture quality. Individual or combined streams can be distributed to multiple destinations simultaneously, up to a maximum of 8 simultaneous output streams (when using main and sub-streams). The encoder includes a built-in LCD display with touch buttons for monitoring status information and settings.

Application

This encoder is designed for live production , remote transmission, livestreaming, and recording in professional AV environments. Typical applications include broadcast networks, corporate livestreams, and educational and event spaces where video from HDMI or SDI sources needs to be converted to IP streams or NDI workflows. Limits

The encoder does not offer internal recording storage as a primary function; external or network-attached storage (such as a NAS) must be used for recording. The maximum video capacity of the HDMI input is 4K30, while the 3G-SDI input is limited to 1080p60. When encoding multiple sources simultaneously, the resolution of some concurrent streams may be adjusted or scaled to lower frame rates to comply with the encoder limits. Functionality depends on firmware and network configuration.
