Grass Valley Grass Valley Edius 11 Pro - Education
This concerns an Edius 11 Pro Education license that you will receive by email.
To qualify for an EDU version, you will be asked to provide one of the following documents:
- A valid student card or registration certificate from a recognized educational institution
- Proof of employment at a school or university (e.g. staff card, employment contract)
- An official letter from the institution confirming the educational status
Serial numbers can only be issued on weekdays. If you order over theweekend, you will receive your license on Monday.

- EDIUS 11 Pro EDU (Educational Version) - This version is available for students, teachers, universities, and schools. Please note that the EDU version is not for commercial use and can only be upgraded using a Jump upgrade (not the standard upgrade). EDIUS 11 Workgroup
With extensive format support and integration capabilities
- EDIUS 11 Workgroup full version - This is the version for you if this is your first time purchasing EDIUS Workgroup.
- EDIUS 11 Workgroup Upgrade from Workgroup X - This is the version for you if you already have EDIUS Workgroup X. When activating the program, you will also need to enter your EDIUS X serial number.

EDIUS Broadcast
Like the Workgroup version, but specially designed for broadcasters including Dolby Professional license for broadcasts
- EDIUS 11 Broadcast – This is the version for you if you are a Broadcaster and it is your first time purchasing EDIUS.
- EDIUS Broadcast Jump Upgrade – This is the version for you if you're a broadcaster and already have EDIUS 2-X (Pro or Workgroup). When you activate the program, you'll also need to enter your previous EDIUS serial number.
Options
- EDIUS 11 Authoring Option – This option allows you to add DVD/Blu-ray authoring functionality (this option requires an optical disc drive)
- EDIUS 11 Second Activation Option – This option allows you to activate your EDIUS Pro or Workgroup license on a second PC (this option is not available for the EDU or Broadcast version)
EDIUS 11 Pro, Pro EDU, Workgroup and Broadcast are also available as a Floating License .
Please note: For stereoscopic (3D) editing we recommend using EDIUS X. This feature has been used by very few users in the past, so stereoscopic editing is no longer supported in EDIUS 11.

What is the Chorus Hub Server?
The Chorus Hub Server is available as a preconfigured PC server that allows multiple EDIUS 11 editors to collaborate on projects as a team.
The Chorus Hub Server provides an EDIUS 11 database with project metadata, such as file locations. Furthermore, the Chorus Hub Server provides metadata of media clips from selected projects to multiple users for efficient collaboration. All EDIUS 11 clients are connected to the Chorus Hub Server via standard Ethernet, allowing editors to work remotely via the internet or on-site.
The Chorus Hub Server manages metadata, while the corresponding media files can be stored on any suitable local network storage device or cloud storage service provider of your choice. This makes EDIUS 11 and the Chorus Hub Server a very open and one of the most flexible solutions on the market, without forcing the user into a proprietary storage solution.
How do EDIUS editors benefit from the Chorus Hub Server?
Imagine a typical scenario where hours or even days of footage needs to be reviewed, evaluated, tagged, and sorted, including in and out points. While part of the team is tasked with preparing the footage, the editor can already start a rough cut of the pre-sorted clips on the timeline.
The Chorus Hub Server offers an API for fully customizable integration of the AI services you truly need. Whether you want to perform technical quality control (QC) on your footage, perform scene detection, or recognize faces or objects: EDIUS 11, the Chorus Hub Server, and the services it provides can be individually customized by an EDIUS expert to support your specific workflow.
Can a solo editor benefit from the Chorus Hub Server?
No, EDIUS 11 offers the same options for managing metadata and integrating and customizing AI services, but these features are only available to one user at a time.
The Chorus Hub Server communicates with all connected Mync 11/EDIUS 11 sets, including AI services, and manages the collaboration workflow between a group of EDIUS 11 editors.
When two or more EDIUS 11 editors want to collaborate, the Chorus Hub Server can significantly accelerate the workflow and optimize the use of AI services.
